Flow technology is a world-first invention which has revolutionised beekeeping. It’s now possible to harvest pure honey straight from the hive, making the process much easier for the beekeeper and much gentler on the bees. After years of tinkering and testing, father and son team Stuart and Cedar Anderson launched the Flow Hive with one of the most successful crowdfunding campaigns in history. 

7 years on, with over 100,000 customers in 130 countries, we’re growing our business and our team while continuing to innovate. A love for bees and the planet is central to all aspects of what we do - we’re proud to support numerous great pollinator projects around the globe, and our team aims to continue creatingpositive impact long into the future.


A bit about the role:

This is an exciting, brand new role for Flow. We’re looking for someone who has excellent attention to detail, is an administrative whiz and natural multi-tasker to join our growing Product Development team. This person is a problem-solver and team player, who is happy to work across a variety of different tasks and loves the product development process.

This is a full time position; applicants are expected to be available 5 days a week, with flexibility for a combination of in-office and remote work.


Duties include:

  • Assisting with all areas of new product development; coordinating sourcing, specifications and quality control for new and existing products.
  • Liaising with suppliers and Product Lead daily on production matters. Track and follow up all outstanding samples, ensuring development is made as per specifications.
  • Internal and external communication, keeping everyone in the loop.
  • Driving sustainability at every stage of the product life cycle.
  • All facets of buying administration, maintaining buy sheets etc.


Who this role would suit:

You know Product Development:

  • You have a sound knowledge of the product development process, with previous experience in a similar role.
  • You know your way around a spec/tech pack and you are comfortable with making changes and communicating them to suppliers. 
  • You are comfortable with sample management in all aspects.
  • You value engaging and rewarding communication with our valued local and international suppliers and other key stakeholders.
  • You have a good understanding of supply chain management, quality control principles and production lead times.


You have great attention to detail:

  • You have a sound understanding of Inventory Management.
  • You know how to multitask in an online environment, e-commerce experience is a big plus.
  • You love to research, but you know how to get just the right amount of detail and still nail deadlines.
  • You have a sound understanding of commonly used computer programs (Excel, Google Drive etc) Adobe Suite, Canva, Shopify, Inventory Planner experience is a plus.


You’re a problem solver and a team player:

  • You have a secret passion for administration - if it isn’t already organised you will make sure it gets that way. 
  • You have the ability to learn and problem solve on the job, and you actively seek out solutions when one is not already obvious.
  • You are a creative thinker and can work independently.
  • You know that sharing your knowledge makes for a better team all round.
  • You have the ability to plan and prioritise own workload to effectively and consistently deliver on individual and team objectives.


You care:

  • You care for the planet and bring a sustainability mindset to everything that you do.  
  • You care about bees – even if  you don’t yet have practical beekeeping knowledge, you’re excited to learn more about these incredible little creatures.
